Place chickpeas and one garlic clove in a medium pot and cover with water by 1". Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat to medium-low and simmer, undisturbed, until chickpeas start falling apart, about 20 minutes. Reserve 1 cup cooking liquid, then drain chickpeas.
Transfer chickpeas to a food processor. Add garlic, lemon juice, tahini, salt, and 2 Tbsp. reserved cooking liquid and process for about 5 minutes until creamy and smooth. If at any point the hummus appears dry or very thick, add lemon juice / water / olive oil to adjust the consistency and process just until combined. Transfer to a medium bowl and drizzle with more olive oil .
3 cups of favs beans ( from the can and keep the water! )
1-2 garlic clove (chopped)
2 tbs olive oil
1 bunch parsley (chopped)
1 lemon ( juice only )
Salt to taste
Steam fava beans in 1/2 cup of hot boiled water with the fava beans water from the can for few 5-7 minutes and remove from water, strain and let it cool
Combine all dressing ingredients( olive oil, lemon, garlic, parsley, cumin & salt ) in a medium mixing bowl and stir well, taste and adjust if needed ( lemon, cumin salt etc )
Add fava beans on top of the hummus
Garnish with fresh parsley and olive oil
you can add hard boiled egg or keep it vegan
You can also make/ eat hummus and fava beans separately, enjoy.
